Montara's 11th Annual 'Scarecrows in the Vineyard' Competition
8th April - 30th April 2006
In celebrating the simple things in life here is your chance to use those creative talents, show how resourceful you can be and have fun making a scarecrow for the delightful 11th annual Montara 'Scarecrows in the Vineyard' Competition and Display.
- First prize is 5 cases Montara Wines valued at approximately $1,400.
- Second prize is a Grampians Weekend Package for Two at the Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld.
'Proud to be a Scarecrow' is the theme for 2006.
Your scarecrow needs to be:
- Standing tall
- Lively and enthusiastic
- With innovative use of materials
- Surviving all weather at Montara from Sat., 8th April until Sun., 30th April.
At Montara Scarecrows in the Vineyard Display 9th April - 30th April
You're invited to come and vote for your favourite scarecrow. Open daily 10am - 5pm.
This year the winners will be announced on 30th April at a Gourmet Sausage Sizzle at Montara as part of Grampians Grape Escape festivities.
Mike and Eileen McRae the organisers of this fun loving event invite you to get involved and take time to create a scarecrow to enliven the countryside and continue this event as Scarecrow Art at its Best.
